As I write down the next batch of my favorite psychos one fact stands out to me, never trust anyone with a smile and a suit. Like seriously only one in this batch of nut jobs isn't in some position of power. However if I were to classify this section of rouges, it would be the liars with a good suit and a nice smile.
7 Kristoph Gavin

One of my favorite scenes in the Ace Attorney series is when after all Kristoph Gavin did to technically avoid being charged with murder, only to realize he was in a trial by jury. Kristoph is one of those guys who thinks heās smarter and sneakier than anyone else. He stalks, analyzes, and takes advantage of any situation that would benefit him, be it manipulation his younger brother in the prosecutionās office or spying on a small, reclusive child in case he needed to ādeal with any problemsā.
Kristophās history of sociopathic actions begins seven years before the first Apollo Justice game takes place. A magician was accused of murdering his mentor and was in search for a defense attorney. His search led him to his final two choices, Phoenix Wright and Kristoph Gavin. The magician played them both in a game of poker, then chose Wright over Gavin. Gavin was a might cross, and came up with a scheme to get rid of Wright who he felt wronged him. Kristoph had no trust in the magician, so he had fake evidence forged beforehand assuming he would be defending him in court. Gavin instead tricked Phoenix in to using it and told his younger brother, who was the prosecutor in the case, about it. After Phoenix Wright lost his attorneys badge Kristoph was still paranoid that his plan could be traced back to him, so he decided his forger, an 8-year-old girl, āhad to go.ā.
Seven years later, the magician, who managed to escape court and therefore going to jail, returned and met up with a now retired Phoenix Wright. Kristoph Gavin pretended to be Wrightās friend to keep tabs on him and found out the magician returned. He took this opportunity to kill the magician and frame Wright for the murder, and even went so far as to provide Phoenix with the defense. His only mistake however was the fact Phoenixās attorney ended up being Apollo Justice.
While Kristoph Gavin was more cunning and ruthless, he shared many similarities with the previous entrant Manfred von Karma. Both were obsessed with winning, took losing way to hard and their target were just victims of wrong place at the wrong time. Even then, I would say Kristoph was sneakier because he used his knowledge of the law to protect himself from being convicted.
6 Frio Tigre

Ah the loud mouth, slightly offensive (Iām a native New Yorker) tiger of the Ace Attorney world. Furio Tigre was a gangster who owned a money lending shop and loved riding his Vespa. One day while riding his scooter, Tigre ran over a young woman. This woman turned out to be the granddaughter of the Yakuza, so they began using this to extort money for her āmedical billsā.
One day, a hacker who owed him money came to discuss his loan contract. Furio was in desperate need of money so he refused the hacker an extension. Feeling he had no choice, the hacker was about to give Furio a virus that would sell high in the black market. However, luck was kind of on his side, the hacker was listening in on the lottery and won a million dollars right before he was going to hand over the virus. Under any other circumstance, Furio would have been happy to take the money, but that was not enough to pay the Yakuza.
Furio poisoned the hackerās coffee and stole the program. This is where it gets fucked up, Furio had the owner of the restaurant where the meeting took place drug the waitress, then dress her to make it appear that she killed the victim. He then waited in the back, dressed as the hacker while his assistant dressed up as the waitress. When the only other customer of the restaurant appeared, Furio came out dressed as the hacker. While he was waiting to be served, the waitress put something in his drink. Furio took a sip, and pretended to be dead. The only reason he did this was to create a witness for the time of death.
All things considered, Furio Tigre was surprisingly smart! He knew the value of the computer virus he killed for, he muscled someone who owed him money in to creating a fake crime scene, and even pretended to be a lawyer to make sure his fall guy went down. It was a genuinely good plan, but he was nothing more than a hood, consumed with money and scared of his superiors.
5 Damon Gant

Damon Gant, the crime computer, chief of police, highly corrupted public servant. Gant is number 5 which means weāre about to see some of the darker characters. Damon Gant may not seem like it, even when you first talk to him, but make no mistake this man is power hungry.
Back when he was a detective, Damon and his partner Lana Skye were the best on the force and they had just captured one of the most brutal serial killers in recent memory. During his questioning, the killer managed to escape and ran in to their office where Lanaās younger sister Emma was. The killer attacked her, but she was saved by a prosecutor. The last thing Emma recalled was pushing someone before the fainting from the shock. When she came to, Ema was being held by her sister while Damon was investigating the recently deceased prosecutor. The trial that would follow not only see his promotion to chief of police, but it would also make Lana head of the prosecutorās office. Even Miles Edgeworth won an award for his performance in court.
All right so hereās what happened. Ema did push the prosecutor while she was panicked, however it did not lead to his death, it merely knocked him out. Damon, like Von Karma, saw the perfect opportunity when he arrived, and all three parties were out cold. He took the time to kill one of his own partners then frame the younger sister of his other partner. The reason he did this was because he knew this case would make him chief of police, and I should also mention at this point that he was the one who placed Lana in the prosecutionās office. And since he had convinced Lana that Ema killed a man and they had to stage a frame up, Lana was in his debt, regardless of what he asked.
So, Iām sure youāre wondering, if he did all that horrible shit, why is he only number 5? And thatās my exact question, why? Why did he do all of this? Gant was corrupt and power hungry, but he wasnāt in anyoneās pocket. Sure, he could literally get away with murder, but he only killed twice and the second time he felt like he had to. I mean realistically speaking he is an asshole to work with or for, but heās not exactly what you would call a villain. Although the picture above is him smiling for a picture with the murder weapon in the background.
4 Gaāran Sigatar Khuraāin

At first, she wasnāt even on this list, but as I look over this list I look at the previous number 4 and think, Sure he tried to kill a kid, but was that all he did? Is there anyone that may have done worse? Then I remembered this bitch tried to kill a baby soā¦yeah but thatās just a tip of the iceberg known as Gaāran.
Gaāran was once a prosecutor overseas and worked under her younger sister. She craved more power and then came up with a rather convoluted but successful plan. She managed to trick her sister the queen that her husband was trying to kill her, so they faked the queenās death, so she could go in to hiding. Sounds innocent enough until you realize that she was the one trying to kill her own sister to secure the crown. She only succeeded in killing a traveling musician, whom she left to die in a fire along with his newborn son (donāt worry, the baby survived). While in control of the kingdom, she adopted her sisterās daughter as her own and used her as leverage to help secure her position.
All right so Gaāran can hold a grudge and she does it with style. While accusing her brother-in-law of killing the queen he was a defense attorney and represented himself. She took advantage of her position and the countryās love of its fallen queen to pass a law stating any defense attorney who defends someone in court, suffers the same fate as their client if they lose, which most of the time meant death. Even when you face her in court, she has the nerve to create new laws on the spot. She reminds me a lot of another character in the series named Morgan Fey, someone with an inferiority complex due to their more successful younger sibling. The only reason she made the list rather than Morgan is because Morgan only committed one crime and that was conspiring.
