Today marks my first official week “in the industry” and I know I should be writing more but I recently got my hands on some new titles, so I’ve been working. Between playing Danganronpa V3 and trying to get this online show running it’s been kind of hectic. But I’m getting in to the swing of things and once I get a beat down I’ll be more consistent with my work. Now on to what I’m assuming you care about, games and stuff!

So, I got Danganronpa V3, Danganronpa Another episode and South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I played a little bit of all three but V3 has been taken most of my time. And just after playing the first case…HOLY CRAP! But I’m jumping ahead of myself a little. For those of you who don’t know, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a Visual Novel game on Steam and the PS Vita, it would fall in to the same category as The Phoenix Wright series or Nocturnal Illusions for you perverted geeks out there. The basic summary of the franchise is a group of teens are kidnapped and forced to kill each other for the amusement of a sadistic maniac, kind of like an anime version of Saw. Now like the Saw franchise, I was worried that Danganronpa would repeat itself but with a little bit of clever wording they totally threw me off my game. I would strongly recommend it for anyone who loves mysteries and plot twists.

Danganronpa Another Episode is a game I’m going to have to look at from a different perspective. Back when I was super fan boy about this series I was impatient and looked in to the plot. I was good however, sparing myself any video of actual game play so I’ll at least be surprised in that aspect. I’m looking forward to how the reviews for the two latest Danganronpa games turn out. For V3, I know nothing of the plot but am familiar with its game play unlike Another Episode. Still, I’m loving both and will probably post a couple random videos.

South Park is a game I’ve been looking forward to since I heard about its release. I played through Stick of Truth and it was honestly one of the best games I ever played if not a bit short. There was one mechanic that caught my eye, and that’s the controversial difficulty setting. For those who don’t know, the higher the difficulty, the darker your skin tone. The developers even went so far as to say that it will not affect combat, just literally everything else such as interactions with vendors. My friend and fellow South Park fan thinks that they be going a little too far, but I’ve always had faith in Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s ability to handle and convey current events.
And finally, we move on to the show! So, while I’m still working out the last of the kinks, me and my friend will be doing a live stream game review show. The basic premise is that we will play a game and I will write the review for it. We’ve been reaching out to indie game developers to see who would be interested and perhaps getting us a game key because these things cost money. But we have been talking about a way to bring some funding in to this project, we just need to find someone to spear head it.
Well that’s it for now, I’m off to do a special Old School Sunday in honor of Hiromi Tsuru. This is Brandon saying thanks for reading and feel free to discuss in the comments below.
